Project: Lori's Living Room

Everyone should have an inspiring friend and mine is Lori! She is such a crafty girl and as a newlywed, she has made a very comfortable home that I just adore.

Yesterday, she told me about a project she wanted to do for her living room and suggested a craft day! Of course, I was game for this!

The project was to bring some fun pattern and color to this area of her living room. To do this, she had decided to turn her old window frame into photo frame.

After a trip with her to JoAnn for fabric, canvas, and velcro we were ready to tackle
her project!

First, she wrapped the canvas. I provided my staple gunning skills as she pulled the fabric tight.

Next, after a stroke of genius, Lori decided that she would replace her cream-colored frame with
a bold red one. Love the look!

She used velcro strips to attach the frame to the fabric-covered canvas. She attached the hook
strip to the actual frame and the loop side to the fabric. It worked great!

Next, my staple gunning skills were needed again to attach burlap ribbon to the back of the window frame
to hang the canvas in front.

After measuring twice and stapling the other end of the burlap to the back of the canvas, everything was perfectly centered!

What a fun, fulfilling project! I love how it turned out!
Now she just needs the photo!
