When we bought this house, I loved that the living room had a built-in book case. But I soon realized that styling open shelving is really hard when you don't have a whole lot of pretty things.
So I started off with this...thinking it would change with time
Well, months later, it hasn't changed a whole lot.. but I'm still working on it.
I decided to remove most of the books and only keep the ones that I liked most. I also added more frames and vases to break up the monotony. I'm still on the hunt for some large scale items to display and maybe some interesting boxes for stacking
